Wale's sophomore project Ambition leaks the weekend before it's set to be released. Due to my impatience, I've downloaded and listened to the album and in my opinion Wale followed through. All the hard work Wale and his MMG team have done to push this album paid off. Aside from the beat selection, his lyrics and wordplay is on point as usual. Wale really shows how strong his ambition really is with this album. Some of my favorites are "Double M Genius", "Legendary", "Lotus Flower Bomb (feat. Miguel)", "Focused", and "No Days Off". I rate  the album 4/5 and it's probably one of the best albums of the year. DMV should be proud.

News: Soulja Boy Gets Arrested !

Early this morning, 21 year old rapper, Soulja Boy, was pulled over for traffic violation but was then arrested because police allegedly found TONS of weed and cash. Law enforcements told TMZ sources, DeAndre Cortez Way was riding in an Escalade with 4 other men in Temple, GA at 3:15AM when they were pulled over. Officers also found guns in the vehicle... all we can do is hope that Soulja's not getting "supermanned" in prison.

Andre 3000 To Appear On Take Care

Producer Noah "40" Shebib reveals that Three Stacks cameos on the upcoming LP.

Drake previously reached out to Andre 3000 for his debut LP Thank Me Later, but Three Stacks originally turned him down. For his upcoming sophomore release Take Care, Drizzy finally got his wish, collaborating with the Outkast member for a cut on the album.

In an interview with The Fader, Drake's go-to producer Noah "40" Shebib revealed that 3K phoned Drake to express interest in collaborating for the upcoming album.

"The night before, Drake received a call from Andre 3000, who said he wanted to get on the rapper’s next LP—and, specifically, on a beat made by 40. The original name of the instrumental was 'Good Enough for the Both of Us,'" writes The Fader. "Suddenly they switch to boardroom mode. Drake, 40, and Drake’s DJ, Future the Prince, discuss Andre 3000 in frank, mathematical terms: the timbre of his voice, the cadences he prefers. They recall his obscure "Walk it Out" freestyle and the run of features since then, and talk about how their instrumental could be modified to better suit Andre’s delivery."

Drake Admits To Rihanna Breaking His Heart

Recently Drake opened up to Elle Magazine about his heartbreak with former flame, Rihanna. This is what Drizzy had to say to the mag...

"At the time it hurt, but she didn’t mean to. I’ll never put that on her. I was hurt because I started to slowly realize what it was. I guess I thought it was more. That was the first girl with any fame that paid me any mind. You spend days reading about this person in the magazines. All of a sudden you have this number-one song and you’re at some birthday party and there she is. And you’re just some naive kid from Toronto staying in some shitty-ass hotel who got invited to this party on a whim. That’s just how it happened."

 Drake was then asked if he's lonely, and this was his response...

"Take Care" Pushed Back, November 15

Last night on www.octobersveryown.net, Drake announced that his sophomore album "Take Care" will be released on November 15. The initial release date was October 24, Drake's birthday. This is what Drake had to say...


"The new date for Take Care is November 15th, 2011. I managed to create this album in my hometown of Toronto and the thoughts and stories I wanted to get across just became so clear. It truly felt like when I was here 3 years ago making So Far Gone. So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date. My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings. This music means too much to me to get attached to dates and I do apologize for the delay but I promise that it is only for the benefit of our experience together. Club Paradise Tour will also be moved to when students are back from the Christmas/New Year break so that I can get to more schools. New dates will be released in the next week...see you all soon.

Who Will Survive in America? Troy Davis Executed - 9/21

This post is irrelevant to music and fashion, but has just as much of a right to be acknowledged as any other post I've done. Sadly, Troy Davis, a black male accused of murdering a white cop back in 1989, has been executed. It's been two decades since Davis was charged, and even after 7 out of 9 witnesses against Davis have recanted, the state of Georgia decided go on with the execution regardless. Hopefully the eyes of many that are blinded by the system are opened and realize that racially, things still aren't the way they should be in this country. Who will survive in America? R.I.P. Troy Davis. Many hearts are heavy. Your supporters, family, and soul are in the prayers of many. This my friends, is NOT dope.
